Charles Stanley can trace its origins directly back to 1792 and was first registered as a member of the London Stock Exchange in 1852. Charles Stanley has grown significantly over the years, predominantly through acquisitions.  Charles Stanley has developed its regional presence and currently has 23 branches across the UK. The Company has no international offices.

In January 2022, Charles Stanley was acquired by Raymond James Financial, Inc. a leading diversified financial services company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, which at the time of writing had total client assets of US$1.56 trillion.

Charles Stanley has been providing services to financial advisers and their clients, for many years. To reflect the increasing importance of this sector to our business, in 2010 we established a specialist Intermediaries support division. This division works closely with financial advisers, ensuring that they are aware of the range of services we offer and how these services can be of mutual benefit.

Charles Stanley Asset Management provides a wide range of MPS to the intermediary market. We believe in globally unconstrained investing with a focus on real wealth creation via long term inflation plus return objectives. We own and actively manage our asset allocation in house and then implement these views with the best vehicle available within the mandate framework.
